Activity is one of the best things you can do for back pain. Even just walking can be helpful since it gets you out of the sitting position and puts the body in a neutral, upright position.

Your Mattress Is Old
If you can’t remember the last time you replaced your mattress you may be in trouble. A general rule of thumb is to replace your mattress every 10 years. Old mattresses don’t offer the support that you need to keep your back in proper alignment.
You Wear High Heels
If you wear high heels a lot, they can definitely affect your back. Wearing heels forces you to arch your back which will make your spinal muscles work extra hard. Think about wearing cushioning inserts and keep supportive shoe alternatives to slip on during your commute or lunch. You can still wear high heels, just don’t walk long distances or wear them every day.
